In this series of photos, I delve into the enchanting world of Polaroids, drawn to their singular, tangible essence that mirrors the way memories linger in our minds. Each snapshot encapsulates a moment in time, frozen in its unique frame, much like the memories we hold dear. Through the lens of my camera, I capture not just images, but fragments of lived experiences, imbuing each Polaroid with a sense of authenticity and nostalgia. Like memories themselves, once the shutter clicks, the moment is forever preserved in its original form, unable to be replicated.

Senior Thesis

In my own exploration of my queer identity, I discovered a compelling avenue for self-expression and reflection through the lens of photography. The act of capturing moments in still frames became a means for me to document and preserve the profound instances that defined my journey. Whether through candid snapshots of friends or meticulously composed self-portraits, each photograph encapsulated a moment in time that held personal significance. Reflecting upon these images today, I discern the nuances of my own evolution—a visual narrative that mirrors the intricate tapestry of my self-discovery and the affirmation of my queer identity.
